Jessica Simpson

Sexiness

The older Jessica Simpson gets, the sexier she becomes. Her early mainstream career in pop music -- when she had to compete against Britney and Christina -- has allowed her to develop provocative moves of which we have fond fantasies.

When she divorced Nick Lachey, we thought that we might have a chance. But those dreams were shattered when reports of her constant involvement with celebs like John Mayer and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo began circulating. Her sexiness is still legendary though -- when Romo plays badly, fans still talk about the "Jessica Jinx," and hope that Simpson and her ex don't reconcile.

In early 2009, Jessica started getting criticized in the press for having gained weight. The scrutiny clearly upset her, and although she's a curvy woman, most men would struggle to find a flaw in Jessica Simpson's figure. And, whether she likes it or not, ex-boyfriend John Mayer's remark to Playboy that Simpson is "sexual napalm" has made guys all the more curious about Simpson

Success

Her professional music career began on the Christian Youth Conference circuit, where she sang and sold her home-recorded album after shows. Still a teenager, she signed with Columbia Records and her first album, Sweet Kisses, was released in 1999. The singles "I Wanna Love You Forever" and "I Think I'm In Love With You" proved to be pop hits.

After touring with 98 Degrees, her second album, Irresistible, was released in May 2001, and it was an even bigger seller and crossover hit than her first effort. The title single, "Irresistible," climbed as high as No. 3 on the Top 40 mainstream chart.

Jessica Simpson's third album, In This Skin, peaked at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and spawned the No. 1 Top 40 mainstream hit "With You." The album was released in August 2003 to coincide with the debut of the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica. After the mega success of the show, which spawned two more seasons, Jessica proved her prowess by landing the role of Daisy Duke in the 2005 film version of The Dukes of Hazzard. She also released a remake of "These Boots Were Made For Walking." She followed that appearance with several other big-screen roles in Employee of the Month (2006), Blonde Ambition (2007) and The Love Guru (2008).

On the heels of her 2006 divorce, Jessica released her fifth studio album, A Public Affair, which peaked at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200.

Most recently she's been on tour with the country band Rascal Flatts supporting her country album Do You Know, that was released in 2008.
